PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Following a strong showing at his Pro Day, **[Rutgers](https://247sports.com/college/rutgers/)** football running back **[Kyle Monangai](/Player/kyle-monangai-46058749/)** talked about how he believes that his strong work ethic and willingness to do whatever can translate to the NFL.
Almost as if to underscore his humility, Monangai at one point talked about being the third all-time leading rusher in Rutgers program history. After his meeting with the media, he was informed that he has the second-most rushing yards of any Scarlet Knight. Monangai did a double-take when the information was conveyed to him.
Such is the mindset of Monangai, a two-time All-Big Ten selection who has never been one to chase personal records. Monangai played through significant pain last year, choosing to put his own body on the line when Rutgers needed him the most. Wednesday's Pro Day was a chance for Monangai to perform in front of all 32 NFL teams, with a total of 45 representatives on hand for the showcase.
