Insider Reveals Titans’ Interest Level in Aaron Rodgers

It's been several days into NFL free agency and many of the top options are off the board. However, there are a couple of veteran quarterbacks still on the market who could help a team like the Tennessee Titans.

The team was linked to quarterback Aaron Rodgers when it was revealed he was getting released from the New York Jets. He owns a home in Nashville and has spoken highly of the city.

Despite that, the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants seem to be the only teams in on him. According to The Athletic's Jeff Howe and Joe Rexrode, the Titans haven't had interest in Rodgers throughout the entire process.

"The Titans weren't involved in the pursuit of free-agent quarterback Sam Darnold and have not pursued Aaron Rodgers, according to league sources," Howe and Rexrode wrote. "Darnold signed a three-year, $100.5 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks, while Rodgers is still available."

At this stage in the process, it seems highly unlikely the Titans will get involved in the Rodgers sweepstakes. Howe and Rexrode noted that Tennessee did look into Russell Wilson as an option but they seem to be out of the running for the veteran quarterback.

This could indicate a plan to draft a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
