The Boston Celtics are one of the top teams in the NBA once again and have been on a roll recently. They have won 12 of their last 15 games and are primed for another deep playoff run after winning their 18th championship last season. However, big man Kristaps Porzingis has missed each of the team's last eight games due to an illness, and it is clear that his absence has been felt.
While the Celtics are still a great team without Porzingis on the floor, his presence elevates them to another level and makes them borderline unbeatable in a seven-game series. However, the Celtics recently made a Porzingis announcement that should have a big impact on their game against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday.
Porzingis has only appeared in 32 games for the Celtics this season and has not suited up in the month of March. However, it seems like he may be ready to make his return against the Nets as the Celtics have officially listed him as probable.
Injury Report at BKN:
Jaylen Brown (right knee posterior impingement) - QUESTIONABLE
Al Horford (left big toe sprain) - DOUBTFUL
Kristaps Porzingis (illness non-Covid) - PROBABLE
Jayson Tatum (right knee tendinopathy) - QUESTIONABLE
Derrick White (left knee contusion) - DOUBTFUL

It is important to note that Porzingis being listed as probable does not guarantee he will make his return on Saturday. However, this is the first time in the last eight games he has had this designation, so it at least seems like he is trending in the right direction with less than a month remaining in the season.
When he is on the court, Porzingis provides a major boost on both sides of the ball and is a game-changer for the Celtics. Hopefully for them, the Latvian native can remain healthy ahead of their title defense.
