On Friday night, the Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat to get back on track after losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder earlier in the week. In the win, Jayson Tatum recorded 28 points, four rebounds, five assists, and one steal. As for his star teammate Jaylen Brown, he was inactive against the Heat due to a knee injury.
The Celtics will not have much of a wait to extend their winning streak to two games as they will take on the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday. On Saturday, the team made an announcement regarding their two stars that will be important to monitor going into the game.
So far this season, the Celtics have defeated the Nets twice. However, as they look to go up 3-0 in the season series, it seems like it could be a bit more challenging for the Celtics to do. On Saturday, the Celtics announced that Brown and Tatum are questionable against Brooklyn due to them each having a right knee injury.
Injury Report at BKN:
Jaylen Brown (right knee posterior impingement) - QUESTIONABLE
Al Horford (left big toe sprain) - DOUBTFUL
Kristaps Porzingis (illness non-Covid) - PROBABLE
Jayson Tatum (right knee tendinopathy) - QUESTIONABLE
Derrick White (left knee contusion) - DOUBTFUL

As the end of the season approaches, it is important for the Celtics and their stars to be as healthy as possible going into the postseason. They have already clinched a playoff spot once again and are likely guaranteed the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.
Currently, it seems that the Celtics are playing it safe and not forcing their players to play through any injuries they do not need to. In any case, the Celtics will still look to string together as many victories as possible to enter their title defense with some momentum.
