Angel of the North adorned with Newcastle shirt ahead of Carabao Cup final

It's less than 24 hours to go until Newcastle take on Liverpool at Wembley Stadium in London for the Carabao Cup final tomorrow - and the whole region has been getting in the spirit.

To mark the occasion, the Angel of the North in Gateshead has its very own black and white shirt numbered 25 - saying "tell me ma" today (March 15).

This stunt comes years after a similar shirt was draped on the Angel when Newcastle took on Manchester United in the 2023 Carabao Cup Final.
