The Premier League may be fizzling out but there’s still plenty of football to be played in the remaining weeks of the 2024/25 season.
Manchester United sit in 14th place after picking up just nine wins from 28 Premier League matches this term.
Dismal results throughout the season mean United are 15 points behind the Premier League top four, while being 17 points clear of the dog-fight relegation zone.
United beat Real Sociedad 4-1 to qualify for the Europa League quarter-finals on Thursday night, but Ruben Amorim’s side have only won one of their last five league meetings ahead of the trip to the King Power Stadium.
The Reds will be without Leny Yoro, Patrick Dorgu and Harry Maguire in defence but Amorim confirmed Mason Mount will feature from the bench.

How Manchester United could line-up against Leicester City
Amorim will aim to lift momentum in the United first-team by winning football matches to avoid slipping further down the league table.
United can still finish in the top 10, which seems the best-case scenario as far as the Premier League is concerned.
The United head coach has decisions to make with his starting line-up after Thursday night’s victory over La Real.
More United News
So here is our predicted line-up for United to take on Leicester.
Andre Onana
United are looking for their first clean sheet in 10 matches, with Andre Onana unchallenged for a starting berth.
Victor Lindelof
After missing out on Thursday night, Victor Lindelof is likely to return to the line-up following his 90-minute display in United’s 1-1 draw against Arsenal last weekend.
Matthijs de Ligt
Holding everything together (hopefully) at the back, Matthijs de Ligt will be feeling like he needs to bounce back from giving away a penalty on Thursday night, but his form of late has improved.
Ayden Heaven
It could be a first consecutive start for Ayden Heaven at United and he deserves it. The 18-year-old put in a solid display against Real Sociedad, building on his substitute cameo versus Arsenal.
Noussair Mazraoui
In the right wing-back role, Noussair Mazraoui can inflict damage on Leicester if he isn’t too busy defending. The Morocco international is a Jack of many trades and has shown that at centre-back this season.
Manuel Ugarte
Despite not being rushed back from his recent injury, it’s time to give Manuel Ugarte a start. Casemiro was sublime against Real Sociedad but two games in four days may be asking a bit much.
Bruno Fernandes
Pulling the strings in midfield, Bruno Fernandes remains United’s most important player, after a stunning hat-trick to inspire a 4-1 win over Real Sociedad.
Diogo Dalot
Amorim has no other choice but to persist with Diogo Dalot in the wing-back role, despite his questionable form throughout the season. The Portugal international will be trying to build on his goal from midweek.
Alejandro Garnacho
Amorim has been switching Alejandro Garnacho on either flank on a quest to find his best role in the team. The 20-year-old may not be scoring goals at the moment but he remains United’s liveliest player in attack.
Joshua Zirkzee
After a tough start to life at Old Trafford, Joshua Zirkzee has improved vastly in recent weeks. Amorim will want to see him become more direct in the final third.
Rasmus Hojlund
Rasmus Hojlund’s goal drought has now stretched to 21 games in all competitions, which is a concerning statistic for any striker. He provided an assist for Dalot midweek and should aim to build on that against Leicester City.
