With less than a month left in the regular season, the Brooklyn Nets are currently 22-44 and own the No. 12 seed in the Eastern Conference. After missing the postseason altogether last year, the Nets are likely to have the same fate this year. While a late-season push could give them a postseason appearance, a lot would need to go right in order for this to happen.
The Nets have lost 10 of their last 12 games since the All-Star break and have only won one game in March against the Los Angeles Lakers, who were without LeBron James. Additionally, to make matters worse, the Nets made an announcement on Saturday ahead of their battle against the Boston Celtics that will impact the rest of their regular season.
Despite ranking amongst the worst teams in the NBA, the Nets still have plenty of talented players. This includes Cam Thomas, whose 24 points per game leads the team this season. However, the Japanese native recently suffered a hamstring injury against the Chicago Bulls. According to the team, Thomas will likely miss the rest of the season.

Before his injury, Thomas was in the midst of another solid season and was potentially on track for a career year. Unfortunately, he has only appeared in 25 games this season and will likely not suit up the rest of the way.
Thomas enters the 2025 offseason as a restricted free agent. While there is no reason to believe he will find himself on a new team next year, his situation is still one Nets fans will want to keep an eye on as he may have already played his final game with the team.
