Tomas Soucek came back to haunt David Moyes as West Ham left Everton with a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon.
The Hammers walked away from Goodison Park with only a single point after conceding a heartbreaking last-minute equaliser on Merseyside.
It was Soucek who opened the scoring, curling past Jordan Pickford after good work from Jarrod Bowen, but Jake O’Brien managed to secure a 1-1 draw for Everton.
Potter now has just two wins in his last eight games as West Ham boss, with the Hammers dropping 16 points across that run in the Premier League.

Tomas Soucek scored his sixth goal of the Premier League season.
Eventful second half at Goodison Park
The first half was a dull one, except the final few minutes where Everton had been awarded a penalty but it was correctly overturned by VAR.

Bowen cut inside from the left and picked out Soucek between a horde of Everton bodies who controlled the ball and smashed it in the bottom corner to give the visitors a valuable lead.
The Czech Republic midfielder controlled the ball exquisitely before slotting it home in the far bottom right corner, giving Pickford no chance.
Chris Sutton was in awe of the whole move and applauded Soucek for his finish.
Speaking via the BBC Sport live blog (15 March, 16:30), he said: “Brilliant finish. Jarrod Bowen drives into the Everton box and feeds the ball to Tomas Soucek.
“A wonderful finish.”
Unfortunately, Soucek’s goal could not be the deciding factor as O’Brien headed home from close-range in second half stoppage-time to give Everton a valuable point out of the game.

Worries continue for West Ham under Potter
Julen Lopetegui was sacked after a humiliating 4-1 loss to Manchester City in January. The Spaniard was shown the exit door as the Hammers languished in 14th place after spending over £150 million to improve the squad in the summer.
Former Brighton and Chelsea manager Potter was given the task of saving the season for West Ham. He has managed to stay away from relegation trouble, but has been left with a squad lacking in so many areas.
Since Potter took over the reins, West Ham’s situation hasn’t necessarily improved. In nine games in the Premier League, the Solihull-born has managed to win three, lose four and draw two games.
The Hammers are now 16th in the table with 34 points, level with Everton, Tottenham and Manchester United, indicating that this squad needs serious changing in the coming months.
