After three victories the girls in royal blue are looking for a fourth victory to keep us on top of the table facing a Southampton side who are looking for a new head coach after deciding to replace former Blues favourite Remi Allen after the draw against Bristol City.
MATCH PREVIEW
Like I said Blues are looking for a fourth victory in a row after wins over Blackburn away Sheffield United at home & Sunderland away but it wont be easy as Southampton are looking for there first win since the 3rd of Novemberwhen there beat Charlton Athletic 0-1 at the valley with a Tara Bourne close range finish things were looking rosy for the saints but no win since then and in a disappointing eight position it was a matter of time for the saints hierarchy looking for a new head coach but I think there got someone in the Saints staff that should be the gaffer in the interim in the brilliant Marieanne Spacey-Cale who got the saints into fourth place last season a brilliant achievement in my opinion but the investment at the beginning of he season and the lack of wins I think Marieanne will bring some stability to the end of the season.
For Blues it has been all positive with Amy and Shannon cleaning up the awards for February with Shannon getting both the player and her brilliant strike against Sheffield United wining the goal of the month else well for February . And also, Amy winning the manager of the month award it has been a good couple of months for Blues.
Also, on the pitch we have been more solid on the road picking up six away wins in a row and also, we can’t forget we got players coming back from Injury with Jamie Finn playing her first minutes since her ACL injury last year when she was on duty for the Republic Of Ireland. And Big Lou getting closer back to the first team. Last week a brace from Lucy Quinn got Blues all three points against a tricky opponent in Blackburn Rovers apart from one or two scares towards the end of the game when the hit the crossbar Blues looked in control and deserve the three points. But like Amy says one game at a time these types of games like on Sunday are the games which are important yes everyone’s talking about the last game of the season against the Lionesses but there is so much football to play before that game.

PLAYERS TO LOOK OUT FOR
My three saints’ players I will pick are the top goal scorer for Saints in scoring five goals in seven appearances with a goal conversion of an impressive 56% percent and her shot accuracy is also a very impressive 78% percent. The second player whom I’m going for is another Saints forward in Molly Pike who has scored four times this season and also assisting twice. We need to be aware of both strikers and the girls need to be on there game to keep them quiet. And the third player is another forward in Araya Dennis who has hurt us before when she made it 2-0 for Crystal Palace last year on the opening home game of the season.
LAST TIME WE MET
Are last meeting with The Saints was back on the 20th of October when a own goal from Megan Collett in the 11th minute and a Lily Agg goal in the 50th minute got all three points at St Mary’s.
