Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Each week we ask questions of the most plugged-inSeattle Seahawks fans and fans across the country.
Alright! The results are in from this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey for Seahawks fans. It looks pretty conclusive that the idea of tanking for a high draft pick (usually to select a quarterback) is not on your radar. Based on those surveyed, the percentage of “Team Tank” people didn’t even crack 20.
The Seahawks did sign DaMarcus Lawrence, whose nickname is “Tank” and that might be as close as we get to seeing a tank any time soon. This survey closed before the Cooper Kupp signing, so if it wasn’t obvious by now, the Seahawks aren’t viewing 2025 as a season to punt on.
As for the questions concerning the trade return for DK Metcalf and Geno Smith respectively, it looks like fans are split on the Metcalf trade as far as whether or not a 2025 second-round pick was as good as you could hope for. There are seemingly just as many respondents who believed Seattle could’ve gotten more out of his eventual trade to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
As for Geno Smith, who went for a 2025 third-rounder to the Las Vegas Raiders, it’s a little more clear-cut that this was about what was anticipated for the former starting quarterback. We did have a decent proportion of fans saying they thought a third-rounder was more than expected.
Let’s take a look at some of the comments!
