Boston Celtics injury report: Kristaps Porzingis upgraded for Nets game

Kristaps Porzingis will be back on the court playing for the Celtics for the first time since Feb. 26. He was upgraded on the C’s injury report for Saturday’s game against the Nets from questionable to available after battling an illness for the past few weeks.

Jayson Tatum (knee) and Jaylen Brown (knee) were also upgraded to available on the injury report. Al Horford (toe) and Derrick White (knee) were both downgraded from doubtful to out as they’ll get the night off.

Porzingis was originally probable on the injury report, signaling that he could make his return after missing the past eight games. The big man had been dealing with a viral illness as the Celtics were unsure when he could see the court again. But Porzingis is ready to get back into action, starting Saturday.

The C’s are on the second game of a back-to-back, so they’re resting some of their guys. Brown missed Friday’s win in Miami, but he’s ready to go. Tatum will also play in both games of the back-to-back.
