Newcastle United’s stars were up in lights on the River Thames ahead of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final.
Residents and nearby offices reported a glare coming through their windows, only to discover giant projections of the likes of Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes on the 390ft facade of the riverside Millbank Tower.
The stunning show was part of a London takeover organised by Newcastle’s front-of-shirt sponsor, Sela, the Saudi events company. It comes before the takeover of the capital by 50,000 Geordies this weekend.
Any Arsenal fans in the vicinity might not have enjoyed the lights show, given it featured highlights of Newcastle’s semi-final win over their team.
All of the goals from the journey to Wembley were beamed onto the tower, just down the river from Big Ben and The Houses of Parliament. Sandro Tonali, Dan Burn and Joelinton were among the others whose faces were radiated out over the Thames.
Sela’s show comes on the back of Mail Sport revealing this week that they have arranged for every Newcastle supporter to get a black-and-white scarf at Wembley.

The gesture is thought to be one of the biggest of its kind at a single football match.
Sela organised for 6,000 fans to be given a scarf before the FA Cup win at Sunderland last season, but this will see 32,000 left on seats.
The Magpies have not won a domestic trophy in 70 years and, while they are underdogs against Arne Slot’s Premier League leaders, they will be buoyed by Monday night’s 1-0 win at West Ham.
