While the NBA has seen some key teams hit their stride and even turn around their 2024-25 campaigns, the Phoenix Suns haven't been one of them.
In fact, the Suns have been abysmal this season. They are 31-36 through 67 games played. With Kevin Durant on the roster and Devin Booker in his prime years -- that result thus far is simply inexcusable.
Right now, all signs point towards a Durant and Suns divorce this offseason -- which was fueled by the club nearly moving him before the deadline -- though that can always change.
Still, Durant was clear that right now, the focus is on the Suns and maximizing the rest of their season, even if they fall short of the playoffs.
Considering the hole the franchise dug by selling all future assets in favor of a "win now" roster, moving Durant might be their only way out of their current situation.
As Durant's future is bleak in Phoenix, he is still figuring out how to be a remarkable teammate and uplift others within the organization.

Durant's praise of two Suns teammates
After the Suns took down the Sacramento Kings, Durant was sure to praise Ryan Dunn and Oso Ighodaro, as the two rookies were superb in the contest.
"It was incredible....Love playing with those guys and it's something we need to build on. We've been talking about it for so long, but each game matters, every possession matters. They came out there with that type of mindset," Durant said.

While Durant might have been blindsided by the Suns' attempt to trade him and the conversation hasn't stopped swirling, he's certainly been a delightful teammate as of late.
He also happens to be right. This is something Phoenix can and should build upon.
