Rod Woodson. Ring any bells? No? Maybe you’re not au fait with the NFL’s Hall of Fame. Or you can’t name every player on the Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl winning roster of 2001. Or you weren’t glued to Channel 4’s Saturday morning coverage of NFL in the 1990s.
Here’s one for you though. On the opening day of the 1995/’96 NFL, Woodson snapped his ACL playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Detroit Lions at the old Three Rivers Stadium. That was on September 3, 1995. Just 147 days later — on January 28, 1996 — he played in Super Bowl XXX in Arizona. Antoine Dupont take note.
