Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is still going strong in his 16th NBA season, even though he turned 37 years of age on Friday. In a 97-94 win on Saturday over the New York Knicks, he scored 28 points as the Warriors notched their seventh win in a row and 14th victory in their last 16 games.
In their previous game, which took place on Thursday versus the Sacramento Kings, he added a new accomplishment to his already sterling resume by becoming the first player in league history to make 4,000 3-pointers.
Basketball legend Magic Johnson was one of many people to congratulate Curry on this amazing milestone.
I want to congratulate Steph Curry on becoming the only player in NBA history to make 4,000 threes!

Curry has long been considered the greatest outside shooter in basketball history due to his ultra-quick release and ability to hit shots from a very long distance while being pressured. He has also been recognized as one of the game's better performers in crunch time and big games, and his ability to perform well under pressure is a big reason he owns four NBA championship rings.
Golden State looked dead in the water during the first half of the season. But last month's trade for six-time All-Star forward Jimmy Butler has revitalized the team, as well as Curry. Curry's numbers were a bit under par prior to that trade, but since then, he has looked very much like his vintage self.
It is too early to plan on Curry and crew earning a fifth championship ring. But the Warriors will certainly be that one team no one will want to face in this year's playoffs.
