Sunita Williams, Butch Wilmore welcome SpaceX Crew-10 team with hugs at International Space Station – Watch

NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore welcomed the SpaceX Crew-10 team aboard the International Space Station (ISS) on Sunday at 11:15 AM IST. Shortly after the hatch was opened, the newly arrived astronauts — NASA’s Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, JAXA astronaut Takuya Onishi and Roscosmos cosmonaut Kirill Peskov — entered the ISS.

They were received by the Expedition 72 crew, which includes NASA astronauts Nick Hague, Don Pettit, Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, along with Roscosmos cosmonauts Aleksandr Gorbunov, Alexey Ovchinin and Ivan Vagner.

Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore are now in the final phase of their unexpectedly prolonged mission. The duo originally launched aboard Boeing’s Starliner capsule on June 5, 2024, for a short-term test flight. However, due to technical issues, they have remained stranded in orbit far longer than planned.
