Sri Lankan authorities have deported two Indian pastors from Mathagal, Jaffna, for allegedly violating visa regulations by engaging in preaching activities.

Their arrest followed a complaint lodged by a local group, which claimed that the duo had breached their visa conditions by conducting religious work. After an investigation, authorities confirmed the violation and deported them via Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo.

In a separate incident, 13 Indian nationals working in local shops and engaged in sculpture work were also deported through Jaffna International Airport on Saturday. The Sri Lankan government has not provided further details on their deportation beyond citing visa violations.
