Ruben Amorim has shown recent signs that he is finally getting Manchester United’s attackers to fire but he wouldn’t have counted upon having Jadon Sancho next season!
Jadon Sancho left Man Utd for Chelsea last summer after crashing and burning at Old Trafford under multiple managers.
United sealed an obligation to buy in the loan move as well, thereby bringing an end to the winger’s tortured time at the club. Or so they thought…
Recent reports emerged that Chelsea could send Sancho back to Man Utd by breaking their obligation, happy to pay a fee to do so.
Fabrizio Romano has now shared the latest on an unexpected developing situation-

Jadon Sancho back to Man Utd an option
Sancho’s fall from grace at Chelsea has been quite spectacular, from showing signs of life in early days at Chelsea to now reports emerging of Chelsea paying money to United to not keep him!
Sancho’s lack of professionalism towards Man Utd, even while on loan still, makes his return to Old Trafford a nightmare scenario for all involved.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ruben Amorim are clearly trying to instill a new culture of accountability and professionalism at the club.

Sancho’s return would be a huge step back in that endeavour, not even considering the financial hit their wage bill would take due to his hefty salary.
It is encouraging, then, to hear what Romano has said on the whole situation on his YouTube channel.
He said: “We can confirm that reports we had in recent days are true. Chelsea can pay a fee to Man Utd and not proceed with the obligation to buy. This is not the intention.
“From day one, Chelsea signed Jadon Sancho because they want to keep Sancho and he wants to be at Chelsea. Obviously United don’t want Sancho back.”
Man Utd’s Jadon Sancho sale ageing like wine
United were criticised when they agreed to a move worth just £25 million for Sancho and that criticism reached fever-pitch when Sancho even completed a pass or two.
The narrative was getting ridiculous so the Man Utd fans have the right to feel vindicated that these kind of reports have even emerged.
United are currently paying a part of Sancho’s salary to have him play for their rivals and if these reports had even a vestige of truth in them, Chelsea were ready to pay United to not buy Sancho.
That is an insane thought and should be an eye-opener for the player, seemingly still happy to paint himself as the victim of wrongdoing by United.
That £25 million will be the sweetest fee United will receive in the summer and according to Romano, it is certain that they will receive it.
