Liverpool have a massive game on the horizon with Arne Slot aiming to win his major trophy for the club. The Reds take on Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup Final at Wembley Stadium and it will be a great spectacle for the fans.
It has been a memorable season for the Liverpool fans. Their team sits first in the Premier League, having a 15-point cushion at the top. It looks like they are running away with the trophy and with only nine games left to play in the league, the Reds find themselves in prime position to lift a 20th league title.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot deserves a lot of credit for how Liverpool have gone about this season. The Dutchman joined from Feyenoord at the start of the season, with many fans and pundits doubting the appointment. But it’s fair to say Slot has proved his critics wrong.
It was always going to be difficult Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool. The German manager was a fan favourite and arguably one of the best managers in Liverpool’s long history. Klopp went on to win everything there was to win at club-level and transformed the Merseyside club into one of the best teams in Europe.
Arne Slot has had a brilliant start to life at Liverpool. The 46-year-old has done a tremendous job after replacing legendary manager Jurgen Klopp. The Dutchman is also on his way to become the fourth Reds manager to win a trophy in his first full season at the club.
As reported by [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/dont-wrong-andy-robertson-unseen-31201643), when asked about Arne Slot’s first campaign with the Reds, Liverpool’s star defender Andy Robertson said,
> > “In his mind, it was clear that he was coming to win trophies. It wasn’t like he’d be happy with the top four. The players could get on board with that. When you’re at a club like Liverpool you can’t afford a settling-in period. It’s a massive club that expects to win trophies – and the manager was very clear on that from his first day.”
The Scotland international then went on to add,
> > “He came into a changing room and saw players that expect and are hungry to win trophies. That helped him and his staff to be positive as well. In pre-season he tried to get as many ideas as possible across to us so we could fire away. We got off to a good start and that momentum has carried on, but there’s still nine games to go in the league and we’ve got a lot of work to do. But as we sit here today, we’re in a really good spot.”
With nine games left in the Premier League, Arne Slot will be making sure his players don’t lose focus and get the job done. The Reds will be looking to give everything they can and Andy Robertson will be hoping to play a massive part to help the Merseyside club win their 20th league title in front of a packed Anfield crowd.
This season might also be the last time a few Liverpool greats play together for the last time. With Virgil Van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold’s futures uncertain, Robertson will hope they all lift the Premier League for the club that has given them so many memories to cherish.
