One person was killed and another wounded in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a car in the town of Yater in the Nabatieh region of southern Lebanon at dawn on Sunday, according to Lebanons National News Agency (NNA).
This attack comes a day after a similar Israeli airstrike on a car in the town of Burj al-Muluk killed another person.
On Nov. 27, 2024, a ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon came into effect, stipulating the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from Lebanese border villages and towns within 60 days. The Beirut government later agreed to extend the deadline until February 18, with Israeli forces withdrawing from most areas, except for five border points that remain under their control.
