Arsenal U18s overcame their Leicester City counterparts with a 4-3 victory yesterday, with two trialists being named in the matchday squad.
Ronnie Gorman, a midfielder who plays for Brighton, and Jaiden Owen, a left-back contracted to Norwich, were both listed amongst the substitutes.
Gorman came on in the closing stages while Owen remained on the bench throughout but could receive game time at a later date.
Neither player will be eligible to play for the U18s next season so if they do sign they will be part of the U21 squad.
Arsenal are evidently looking to add to their left-back options at U21 level, with Marcell Washington remaining on trial from Chelsea.
Washington has featured for Arsenal at both U18 and U21 levels but it remains to be seen if he will be offered a contract by the club.
Meanwhile, Arsenal U21s coach Mehmet Ali told the club’s official website that his side will face Cardiff City’s first-team next week in a behind-closed-doors friendly.
The game will represent an excellent opportunity for Arsenal’s youngsters to test themselves against senior opposition.
15-year-old centre-back Marli Salmon has featured prominently for the U21s recently and will hope to be involved in that game.
