Riccardo Calafiori has provided a huge update on Bukayo Saka’s return from injury and the difference he can make. The Gunners have missed the 23-year-old massively over the past four months.

Bukayo Saka has been out since he suffered a major hamstring injury against Crystal Palace before Christmas. The injury required surgery, but now the Arsenal winger is just days away from a return to the pitch.

Mikel Arteta revealed Bukayo Saka is expected to return to full first-team training tomorrow: “Bukayo will hopefully do more with the ball at his feet than he has, passing, shooting and running. He’s getting closer. When we throw him in with the team, let’s see how he reacts and how fit he can get quickly.”

Riccardo Calafiori has backed his teammate to be the difference-maker against Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals. The Gunners were knocked out at this stage last season against Bayern Munich.

Arsenal are looking to go one step further this year and Riccardo Calafiori believes Bukayo Saka will be the key to achieving that.

Riccardo Calafiori on Bukayo Saka: “Everyone will be happy if he comes back, he’s a top player and he will make the difference. You can see when he’s on the pitch that he makes a big difference.

“He’s an important player for us, he’s a top guy as well. He’s going to do everything to come back for Real Madrid but right now I’m thinking about Chelsea and then the national team.”

Arsenal face Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday which is set to be the final game the Gunners have to play without Bukayo Saka in the squad.
