Eduardo Camavinga will not be cheap if Man City pursue their attempt to sign the Real Madrid star in the summer transfer window, source have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition ofFootball Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that a deal to sign the 22-year-old is “not going to be easy” either.
Camavinga is seen as a top player in world football and is a multiple Champions League winner and a World Cup finalist which has seen his stature and status rise within the game.
The midfielder hasn’t played as many games for Madrid as he would like, and that could pave the way for him to leave the Spanish giants in the summer.
Camavinga is versatile and can play on the left side of midfield and defence or centrally, with this being an area of the squad that Pep Guardiola wants to strengthen.
City are planning to overhaul their squad during the summer, which is a process that began during the January transfer window.

Real Madrid have set a high price tag on Camavinga
If City are able to pull off a deal to sign the Madrid star it isn’t going to come cheaply, as Madrid want a high price for his services.
Given that he is only 22 years old, all of Camavinga’s best years are ahead of him which is something Madrid will be considering when negotiating any possible deal.
Well-placed sources have told Football Insider it would cost City at least £70million to sign Camavinga, especially since he’s under a long-term deal at the Bernabeu until 2029.
