Detroit Pistons Coach Bickerstaff: “I’m Disgusted By the Way That Game Was Officiated'

JB Bickerstaff

Detroit Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff, who has done wonders with the team this year, was angry Saturday night after his team put up a tough battle against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Little Caesars Arena but lost 113-107.

He didn't like the calls the referees made, especially since Pistons guard Cade Cunningham was hit with two technical fouls and ejected from the game.

“I’m extremely proud of the way they continued to compete,” he said, according to the Detroit Free Press. “I’m disgusted by the way that game was officiated. The level of disrespect was above and beyond. They have a guy fall down and trip on his own teammate’s foot, and they review us for a hostile act. They throw an elbow to our chest/neck area, and I ask them to at least take a look at it. Just show us the respect to take a look at it. No one would take a look at it. The disrespect has gone on far enough, and I’m not going to allow our guys to be treated the way they were treated tonight.”

The Pistons are 37-31 and in sixth place in the Eastern Conference. The top eight teams make the playoffs.[embedded content]
