Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is facing a potential injury blow ahead of their Premier League clash against Leicester City, with goalkeeper Andre Onana a major doubt.

The Red Devils travel to the King Power Stadium to face relegation-threatened Leicester tonight, marking their fourth encounter this season. The clash will also see them face off against former United striker and current Leicester manager Ruud van Nistelrooy.

As per the Manchester Evening News, Onana is due to undergo a last-minute fitness test after feeling unwell on Sunday morning.

Despite being ill, the shot-stopper is still planning to travel to the Midlands and remains hopeful of starting the game, with the late kick-off providing additional recovery time.

However, contingency plans have been put in place should he fail to recover in time. With both Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton sidelined through injury, United may have to turn to their academy for a potential stand-in.

Amorim's options include 22-year-old Dermot Mee and 19-year-old Elyh Harrison, neither of whom have made a first-team appearance for United yet.

Mee has featured in seven games for the development squad this season, conceding 10 times and keeping two clean sheets. Meanwhile, Harrison spent the first half of the campaign on loan at National League North outfit Chester before returning to Old Trafford in January.

During his half-year stint with the sixth-tier club, he made 18 appearances, let in 16 goals and kept seven clean sheets. He also played five times for United in the Premier League 2, conceding six goals and keeping two clean sheets.
