Why Enzo Fernandez wasn't happy with Gabriel during Arsenal vs Chelsea, he accused him of one thing - journalist

Enzo Fernandez was really unhappy with Gabriel after one incident during Chelsea’s London derby against Arsenal.

Unsurprisingly, Fernandez started the game at the Emirates, with the midfielder being a key player for Enzo Maresca this season.

It was the Argentine’s 23rd start of the Premier League campaign, but he was unable to help Chelsea take the lead.

The Blues found themselves 1-0 down in the 20th minute after a Mikel Merino header. It was a very fiery first half, with Fernandez and Gabriel getting into a really heated discussion at one stage.

Enzo Fernandez accuses Gabriel of going down too easily

There was one moment during Sunday’s London derby where Gabriel went to ground.

Fernandez accused the central defender of falling too easily and that resulted into a lengthy conversation between the two, which was all spotted by journalist James Olley.

Fernandez and the rest of the Chelsea team started the game very shaky, especially Robert Sanchez, who was far from convincing in goal.

Before the match, Levi Colwill spoke about Fernandez, claiming that playing alongside the 24-year-old made things easier.

However, Arsenal certainly made life difficult for Fernandez, Colwill and Maresca’s side as a whole in the early stages of the first half.

Chelsea won’t sell Enzo Fernandez to Real Madrid this summer

Going into the Arsenal match, Fernandez was being linked with a move to Real Madrid.

It has been claimed that Real Madrid are interested in signing Fernandez in the next transfer window. However, it looks like the Blues have no intention of parting ways with the Argentina international.

Chelsea’s current stance on Fernandez is that he is not for sale in a blow to Real Madrid. That is good news for Maresca, though.

While the former Benfica man was probably not at his best against Arsenal, he is still obviously a very important player for the Chelsea boss.

Fernandez and Chelsea have another big game after the international break, taking on Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.
