David Moyes has completely revitalised Everton since his return to Goodison Park at the start of the year.
Under Moyes’ management, the Toffees have won nine of their 10 Premier League games, putting them 17 points clear of the relegation zone.
The Blues welcomed Moyes’ old club West Ham on Saturday (15 March) and both sides came away with a point to keep the feel-good factor alive on Merseyside.

When Sean Dyche was let go from his role at Everton, the Blues found themselves sitting just one point clear of the relegation zone and the future looked bleak, despite having had their takeover go through at the end of 2024.
Although the former boss had an organised side, the team looked stuck for ideas at the top end of the pitch and really lacked an ability to play flowing football.

Jake O’Brien was one man who found himself out of favour under Dyche and made just two appearances in the league under his management with no hope for what the future would bring.
However, under Moyes, the defender has played every game and started nine of the 10 under the Scotsman.

Not only that, but he is a player who looks brand new scoring a goal against Brentford before netting again in the 91st minute to earn his side a point against West Ham.
As a result, Everton announced via X (16 March) that the 23-year-old was awarded the man of the match award, something many people wouldn’t have imagined just a couple of months ago.
Moyes exactly what Everton needed
Moyes hasn’t just been a breath of fresh air at Everton, he has changed everything and now the Toffees are looking to the future with much more optimism.
Although it’s not yet mathematically confirmed, his side are well clear of the relegation zone and don’t have that pressure to worry about which is translating into people’s performances.
Even before his injury, Dominic Calvert-Lewin looked more assured and scored under the Scotsman’s management and the turnaround of O’Brien has been staggering.
For the 23-year-old, he must be excited about what the future holds under a new manager who is clearly looking to use him as a regular part of the team going forward.
If Moyes can continue the form he has shown so far going forward, there will be plenty of happy faces on Merseyside.
