Manchester United have been through a handful of managers since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement but failed to match his success.
May will bring up 12 years since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure from Manchester United.
The Scot decided to retire back in 2013 and United have found it difficult to get even close to his achievements.
So many managers have been and gone but it’s Ruben Amorim’s time now with the Portuguese boss looking to finally take United back to the top.
Those who came before him have had mixed success at Old Trafford with one former United boss now slammed many years after his exit.

Rafael on Louis van Gaal
Ferguson had a hand in picking David Moyes as his successor, but the Scot lasted less than a year in the Old Trafford dugout.
Moyes was then replaced by Louis van Gaal with the Dutchman heading to United after his exploits with the Netherlands national team.
Van Gaal finished fourth and fifth in his two United campaigns but also won the FA Cup in 2016 – before being replaced by Jose Mourinho.

The style of play under Van Gaal wasn’t to everybody’s taste but Wayne Rooney loved life under him.
Rooney hailed Van Gaal as the best coach he worked under from a tactical perspective – even ahead of Ferguson.
That view was not shared by some of Rooney’s teammates though with Rafael da Silva offering his view on Van Gaal.
Speaking to Four Four Two, Rafael slammed Van Gaal as the worst manager he ever played under.
The popular Brazilian right back claims that Van Gaal told him to his face that he simply didn’t like him and wanted him out of United.
Rafael claims that Van Gaal had decided he wanted to sell him by his second day in charge, and only some ushering from Ryan Giggs saw him play games.
“Absolutely, without a doubt,” said Rafael.
“He was the worst coach I’ve ever worked with in my career – no question about it. I’ll tell you the reason why: he just looked me in the face and said, “I don’t like you.”
“Can you believe it? The guy wanted me out of the football club on his second day in the job. I ended up playing a few games, but only because Ryan Giggs and some other senior names begged him to let me play,” he added.
Angel Di Maria agreed on Louis van Gaal
Rafael played just 11 times in 2014-15 season before joining French side Lyon.
Spells with Istanbul Basaksehir and Botafogo followed but Rafael’s best days certainly came with United.
The 34-year-old clearly feels that Van Gaal reined his United career though – and he isn’t exactly alone.
Former United flop Angel Di Maria suggested that Van Gaal was the worst manager of his career too.
“The worst [manager] is Van Gaal, you can be sure of that,” said Di Maria.
“In case you had any doubt, I’ll clear that up for you right now,” he added.
Di Maria will go down as one of United’s most disappointing signings and the Argentinian clearly felt that Van Gaal had a major role in his underwhelming Old Trafford spell.
