Newcastle brought an emotional end to their 70-year trophy drought after beating Liverpool 2-1 in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
Local hero Dan Burn broke the deadlock with a towering header on the stroke of half-time before Alexander Isak stroked home the second goal, sparking wild celebrations.
Isak looked to have got on the scoresheet earlier in the second period but his tap-in was chalked off after Bruno Guimaraes intefered with play from an offside position.
Arne Slot threw on a number of forwards in search of a glimmer of hope and Federico Chiesa slotted into the net deep inside injury time to set up a tense finish.
More to follow.
