Newcastle United fans brought an electric atmosphere to Wembley as they roared on a 2-1 win over Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final.

As the football cliche goes, Newcastle United fans were certainly the 12th man in the brilliant win over Liverpool.

Newcastle fans took over London, creating a fantastic atmosphere throughout the capital all weekend. Former co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi wanted to join fans in Covent Garden.

Newcastle fans were gifted scarves by Sela, and it helped to produce an intimidating wall of black and white at Wembley.

When Dan Burn scored the opener, the ground erupted, and the celebrations only grew louder when Alexander Isak doubled the lead in the second half. The wait for silverware is over!

Gary Neville amazed by Newcastle fans at Wembley

Earlier this week, Wayne Rooney blamed Newcastle fans for their poor record in the cup final.

However, there is absolutely zero doubt that the supporters played a huge role in the 2-1 win over Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

So much so that commentator Gary Neville believes Newcastle fans did something at Wembley that he has never seen before.

“It is black and white bedlam!” Neville said via Sky Sports. “I have never felt Wembley shake. It has been coming.

“Burn has won every first contact from a corner.”

Eddie Howe deserves praise for ending Newcastle record

Newcastle’s record at Wembley has been nothing short of terrible, but Eddie Howe deserves huge praise for the way he handled the build-up to the final.

Howe introduced changes to the build-up after claiming he and his players were “exhausted” before the final in 2023.

But despite all the pressure and previous heartbreak, Newcastle handled it extremely well, including Liverpool’s late goal.
