KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A seasoned wide receiver is expected to stay in the Chiefs Kingdom for the 2025 season per multiple reports.
[NFL Insider Jordan Schultz](https://x.com/Schultz_Report) announced on Saturday afternoon, March 15, that multiple sources have reported that JuJu Smith-Schuster has re-signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. The wide receiver and a key weapon for Quarterback Patrick Mahomes will stay in the Kingdom.
Schultz noted that Smith-Schuster had 18 catches for 231 yards and 2 touchdowns in the 2024 season. The former Pro Bowler had interest from other teams, but preferred to stay in Kansas City.
Smith-Schuster, who played with the Chiefs during the 2022 season, was released by the New England Patriots after the 2023 season. He was welcomed back to Kansas City in 2024.
The Chiefs also recently re-signed veteran running back [Kareem Hunt](https://www.kctv5.com/2025/03/14/report-chiefs-re-sign-veteran-rb-kareem-hunt/) after he was originally released from the team in 2018 but picked back up in 2024.
