Ayden Heaven was handed a big injury blow during Man United's game against Leicester
Manchester United sent a message after defender Ayden Heaven suffered an injury against Leicester City.
The Reds were facing the Foxes in the Premier League clash at the King Power Stadium on Sunday evening. The match would be United's final fixture before the club has a two-week hiatus for the March international break.
Ruben Amorim named Heaven in the starting line-up after an impressive performance against Real Sociedad in the Europa League in midweek.
However, the defender was substituted in the early minutes of the second half after suffering what appeared to be a leg injury.
Heaven was stretchered off the pitch as he was replaced by Toby Collyer, seeing his first Premier League start come to an end after just 51 minutes. United issued a three-word message to the defender on social media when confirming the substitution.
"United are forced to make a change," read the post on X, formerly known as Twitter. "Hope you're okay, Ayden."
Amorim will be expected to provide an update on Heaven's potential injury when he speaks to reporters and the media after the final whistle. It remains to be seen how long Heaven will be on the sidelines, as United now have more than two weeks until they are back on the pitch.
Should Heaven be unavailable after the international break, he would join an already lengthy injury list that Amorim will be forced to manage.
United were without Lisandro Martinez, Amad Diallo, Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo, Leny Yoro, Harry Maguire, Jonny Evans, Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton for the clash against Leicester due to injury.
Patrick Dorgu was also unavailable as he served the final match of a three-game suspension.
United won the game against the Foxes 3-0 thanks to goals from Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes at the King Power.
