Leicester City broke new Premier League ground with their 3-0 loss to Manchester United on Sunday evening.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s team became the first in history to lose seven straight home games without scoring, as their most dismal of seasons nosedived once again.
United, who weren’t pushed at all, opened the scoring through Rasmus Hojlund, doubled it in the second half with a strike from Alejandro Garnacho and rounded off the win with a sweet hit from Bruno Fernandes.
City are now nine points from safety, with nine games remaining and seem locked on to return to the Championship after just one season in the top flight.
This is what City fans made of it, commenting on LeicestershireLive.
foxesbcn: I spent a fortune on Foxes Hub the last time we were relegated but won't subscribe again unless Van Nistleroy is removed.
Slyasafox: Garbage play from almost the exact team that was relegated 2 years ago. Fire Rudkin, and the head coach. Sell the Relegation Squad at a loss and bring up the young players. This just embarrassing at this point.
kingedward01:I hope the manager and the people under him and the players give this week wages to the children hospital after another inept display. Perhaps management could tell the fans what they actual do at Seagrave during the week
BobAz: Odds on Vardy retirement vs. playing in the Championship?
lecter47: Another pathetic lack luster performance! Get the kids in now Ruud
Fox in the box: That has to be the end for RVN.See if Sean Dyche will take us on. Get rid of all the dead wood, bring some youngsters in and start a rebuilding of the squad with an experienced manager who knows what's needed to get back into the Premier league.
Irthlingboroughfox: Luke Thomas was our best player tonight.
Cawth: Soumare thougt we were playing in red
