Man Utd defeated Leicester City 3-0 in the Premier League on Sunday night.

Ruben Amorim believes Bruno Fernandes is undroppable for Manchester United due to his huge importance for the side. The Portuguese playmaker grabbed a goal and two assists as he inspired United to a 3-0 victory over Leicester on Sunday night.

It was the latest stellar showing from the United captain after he netted a hat-trick in their 4-1 win over Real Sociedad in midweek and scored in their 1-1 draw with Arsenal last weekend. Fernandes now has 16 goals and 15 assists in all competitions this season and is almost certain to be crowned the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year for the fourth season.

Fernandes will likely play a key role if United are to win the Europa League and salvage their season with Champions League qualification, but head coach Amorim has no plans to rest him to ensure he is sully fit for the more important matches.

Bruno Fernandes is undroppable

Bruno Fernandes was named Player of the Match as Manchester United defeated Leicester in the Premier League on Sunday night, with the club captain involved in all three goals his side scored. Speaking after the win, Ruben Amorim was quizzed on the midfield star and whether he could even afford to rest him at this stage of the season.

“No, I don’t feel that in Bruno, he’s a special guy in that aspect, he is always ready, he can recover quite well,” he said in his post-match press conference. “I don’t know the future but I’m reading what the performance department tell me, the numbers, and then what I see in the game. I always see a Bruno that is dangerous and one Bruno that can recover in every situation. So he is going to stay there.

“Not surprised. I already knew Bruno. What surprised me the most is the way he works every day, that was a surprise. We in Portugal see Bruno with that frustration and I was really surprised, he is a very good professional. You can understand that frustration, a surprise for me.”

Fernandes eyes further improvement

Speaking after the match, Bruno Fernandes spoke of the improvement Manchester United had seen under the guidance of head coach Ruben Amorim. "Very pleased and very important to get the job done today," he told Sky Sports. "We knew it would be difficult and we had to be at our very best level. First half, we committed mistake in the transition, but second half we were better at getting control of the game and getting the goals.

"We can feel that [progress]. Against Arsenal we were a little bit more deep on the pitch, we felt they didn't have much upfront in terms of pace. I think you can see some progress, but that has to go on and on. We have important games. I want to score many goals as I can as it's a big part of my game and I need to assist my teammates. I need to get onto the edge of the box and get goals as it is one of my qualities."
