Manchester United followed up Thursday night’s impressive Europa League win over Real Sociedad with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Leicester City in the Premier League.
Although the domestic season prematurely feels dead and buried, it’s important that Manchester United work towards finishing in the top half of the Premier League table.
United’s 3-0 win over Leicester City at the King Power means Ruben Amorim’s side can jump from 15th to 13th in the league standings. It comes at a cost for United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy, with the Foxes coach unlikely to save them from relegation.
Rasmus Hojlund scored his first goal in three months to put United ahead, before Alejandro Garnacho made it 2-0 in the second half after an earlier strike was ruled out for offside. Bruno Fernandes, who assisted the first two goals, scored the pick of the bunch before stoppage time.
It was United’s fourth win over Leicester this season.

Ruben Amorim pinpoints where Manchester United must improve
Happy after securing three points on the road, Amorim assessed the match after the full-time whistle.
United were undoubtedly in control throughout the game and the difference in quality showed against a far inferior side.
Leicester rarely threatened Andre Onana between the sticks and it will be remembered as a comfortable win for the Reds.

Speaking to Sky Sports during a live broadcast after the match, Amorim outlined areas of United’s performance that we must improve after the international break.
“I think it was good,” Amorim said. “I felt a little bit of a lack of energy, but they gave everything. Some players were tired but I think we deserved the win.
“We controlled the game. We could have been better with the ball but I understand after these two weeks.”
If you look beyond recent results, which will portray a pick up in United’s form, it’s clear to see that the team is adapting to Amorim’s ways and he is now demanding more from them.
Amorim wants United better on the ball to take advantage of spells in games when they have control.
