Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim said it is "hard to know" the extent of Ayden Heaven’s injury after the defender was taken off in the [3-0 win at Leicester City](https://www.tntsports.co.uk/football/premier-league/2024-2025/live-leicester-city-manchester-united_mtc1524027/live-commentary.shtml) on Sunday evening.

Heaven has featured in each of the last three matches for United, playing against his former side Arsenal last weekend, then the UEFA Europa League tie against Real Sociedad, before his appearance at the King Power Stadium.

The teenager only joined United in the winter transfer window and, given his lack of experience of top flight football, it has surprised many that he has become a regular starter, and that he has acquitted himself so well.

He had again impressed against Leicester, but suffered what appeared to be an ankle injury after colliding with Patson Daka early in the second half.

The 18-year-old required several minutes of treatment before he was replaced by Toby Collyer, with some concerns over the potential severity of the injury.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the win, Amorim could not give much detail about the problem for the teenager.

He said: "It's hard to know because we have to evaluate during the week. He already played well against Arsenal and Real Sociedad.

"Today for me was the most difficult game for him because we expected him to relax a bit, but he was so focused."

Amorim has had to deal with a succession of injuries to defensive players, and hoped to use the upcoming international break to give his players the chance to get back to fitness.

"It was clear today my players are at the limit. We are going to use this window to rest and recover, it will be good," he added.

"The feeling is completely different. When we return it will be like starting from scratch."

Discussing the game, the fourth successive match that United have not been beaten, he added: "I think it was good. I felt a little bit of a lack of energy, but they gave everything. Some players were tired, but I think we deserved the win.

"We controlled the game. We could have been better with the ball, but I understand after these two weeks. It was a perfect way to end this week with our away supporters. They are amazing."

There were goals for Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho, and Rasmus Hojlund also ended his dry spell with a late goal.

For Amorim, he hopes the international break will not stop his side’s momentum, and praised the Danish forward.

He said: "A difficult goal with difficult control with his right foot. It's a shame we stop for the national teams because we have confidence."

United's next match is in two weeks, when they travel to Nottingham Forest on April 1.
