Bills Predicted To Draft Top Cornerback

Since Sean McDermott took the reigns as head coach of the Buffalo Bills, the team's cornerback and safety room have been one of the more consistent rooms across the league.

That doesn't mean the group should be ignored this offseason or draft period.

Buffalo is set to lose Rasul Douglas in free agency at some point. In order to find a replacement, the Bills could look to the 2025 Draft to find a cornerback they can build with on a rookie deal.

That's exactly what one draft expert believes at least.

In a recent mock draft from Pro Football Network's Jacob Infante, the Bills are predicted to grab Kentucky cornerback Maxwell Hairston with the No. 30 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

"The Buffalo Bills have one of the NFL's most complete rosters, but if they want to get past Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs, they need to continue building a strong defense," Infante wrote. "Maxwell Hairston has six interceptions and three pick-sixes over his last 20 games at Kentucky. He's a long, athletic corner with great route recognition and the deep speed to excel in zone coverage."

Hairston is a 5-foot-11 cornerback who tallied five picks, posted an impressive 67.5 passer rating when targeted and an 81.1 Pro Football Focus Grade during the 2023 regular season.

While he did battle an injury in 2024, Hairston is considered one of the better corners of the 2025 class. And his zone style of play would be a perfect fit for the organization in Buffalo.
