Bills Rumored To Be Trading For Another Star Pass-Rusher

The Buffalo Bills knew that they needed to address their defensive line this offseason.

That's what happens when the organization finished 18th in the league in sacks and among the bottom half of teams when it comes to rushing yards per attempt allowed as well.

Buffalo hoped some of their free agent acquisitions would be able to help with both stats next season. They signed Joey Bosa, Michael Hoecht, and Larry Ogunjobi as part of that goal.

But with Hoecht and Ogunjobi suspended for PEDs to kick off the 2025 season, the Bills will need some extra help along the defensive line.

The Sporting News' writer Jarrett Bailey believes that because of the recent suspensions, the Bills could be in the market to acquire Cincinnati Bengals star edge rusher Trey Hendrickson.

"Buffalo just extended Greg Rousseau and signed Joey to a one-year deal. However, acquiring Hendrickson gives you three havoc play-makers off the edge, " Bailey wrote, "Get Hendrickson, extend him, and give yourselves a tremendous trio of pass rushers for the 2025 season."

Hendrickson has recorded 34.5 sacks over the last two seasons and has been one of the top edge rushers over the last few years. The Bengals are an organization that may not want to pay Hendrickson as one of the top players at his position.

Buffalo should have no issue wanting to pay Hendrickson at this point.

The issue, of course, is that the Bengals believe they are still top contenders in the AFC. They wouldn't want to give a competitor in the conference the tools to one of their best players.

At the very least, though, a Hendrickson trade could make things interesting the AFC.
