“They’re The Same” Donald Trump Compared Active NFL Legend

No matter your opinion of Donald Trump, it is safe to say that he is one of the most polarizing figures in the world. Upon winning his second election in 2024, he has ensured that changes are happening in this country.

However, he is reportedly very similar to one NFL legend according to one starting quarterback in the NFL.

According to Colin Cowherd, Aaron Rodgers and Donald Trump share the ‘same energy’ after news emerged that the quarterback will take his time making his NFL free agency decision:

Rodgers has never publicly backed Trump and has spoken negatively about the current president at times while seemingly ignoring him at a UFC event last year. However, he has now been told that he shares similar personality traits to the Republican leader and 47th president, insinuating that they both can be difficult people to get along with.

Rodgers has never been afraid to touch on his political views, being a staunch defender, fan and close friend of Robert F. Kennedy Jr, who had been an opponent of Trump’s before joining his campaign.

Despite Kennedy Jr joining Trump’s campaign, Rodgers never appeared to make any comment on being a fan and did not state whether he would vote for the Republican leader.

Seen as a complex character, Rodgers frustrated fans at the New York Jets due to his approach to the game, while pointing fingers at teammates at times during a brutal season.

Having hired a new general manager and head coach, the Jets announced they would part ways with Rodgers on Wednesday.

Rodgers has been heavily linked to the Pittsburgh Steelers over the past few days, with him angering their fans while dragging out the talks and apparently taking his time before deciding. The New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings have also been heavily linked to the four-time MVP quarterback.
