Police in North Macedonia have made several arrests, including high-ranking officials, after a fire ripped through a packed and unlicensed nightclub, killing 59 people and injuring more than 150.
The blaze appeared to start as a live band performed and sparks from flares ignited the roof of the Pulse nightclub in the town of Kocani, about 115km east of the capital, Skopje.
