After a close game against the Orlando Magic, the Minnesota Timberwolves did not want to have a stressful game against the Utah Jazz. The Timberwolves got their eighth straight win in a dominant 128-102 result.
It was an impressive game for the Timberwolves, as they dominated for 48 minutes. Anthony Edwards was once again the standout with a whopping 41 points to lead Minnesota.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are now the hottest team in the league with their eighth consecutive victory. The previous holder of the longest active winning streak was the Cleveland Cavaliers with 16, but they lost to the Magic earlier on Sunday.
This is good for Minnesota because they have been one of the best teams in the league in recent weeks. Having the longest streak puts a target on their backs, but head coach Chris Finch is prepared to set his team up for further success.

An All-Around Effort For The Timberwolves
This was the first game in a long while that Julius Randle did not have the best game. He only scored 11 points, grabbed three rebounds, and dished out four assists. Randle was barely needed for this game because Minnesota utterly out-classed the Western Conference's worst team.
In total, 13 players got minutes in this game for the Timberwolves. That is a good sign because they should be blowing teams out due to their abundance of talent. If they can keep this up, they should be ready to keep this streak going.
Jaylen Clark got 17 minutes in this game, and he was impressive with eight points, three rebounds, and four assists. Other players like Terrence Shannon Jr. and Josh Minott also got their opportunities to shine, which is a good development for the Timberwolves.
Since this was the first night of a back-to-back, the Timberwolves are well-rested and prepared for a tough test against the Indiana Pacers. They had an easy time against Utah despite Collin Sexton's 22 points, but tomorrow is another obstacle to overcome.

The Timberwolves Can Continue The Streak
With the momentum at a season-high, Minnesota is arguably the scariest team to go against. They are finally healthy, and their superstar is playing out of his mind. Edwards is scoring at an unreal rate, but the rest of the team is supporting him well.
Defensively, the Timberwolves are one of the toughest teams to crack. They have an elite group of wing defenders, and when the opponent gets past them, they have to deal with Rudy Gobert in the paint.
As long as they keep this up, the Timberwolves should be ready for the postseason. They are still in the race against another team on a streak, the Golden State Warriors, but the Timberwolves are a much better team than what their record suggests as evidenced by this winning streak.
