Following their progression to the Europa League quarters, United have seven fixtures in April and they hope to have Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo back from injury at the City Ground.

Mason Mount returned to the matchday squad for the first time in three months in the 3-0 win at Leicester City on Sunday but was an unused substitute. Lisandro Martinez is ruled out for the rest of the season but Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Luke Shaw, Jonny Evans and Amad could all play again this term.

"For a coach, it’s difficult to have time off," Amorim said. "We are going to divide the group. Some of the players: Mason Mount, Toby, have to work on fitness.

"We have to recover fitness: Harry Maguire, Kobbie Mainoo, all these players, we are going to try to bring those players for the competition for the final push in competitions.

"Some of the players are going to rest more days than usual, so we are going to divide and give different things for different players and try to be ready for the final two months.

"You have Luke Shaw also he is going to be ready soon. Maybe I am forgetting [someone]. Everybody is prepared and everybody has their idea for this break and we have almost all of the players in the national team."

Rasmus Hojlund ended a 21-game goal drought and Alejandro Garnacho scored his first goal in 25 games in the victory at 19th-placed Leicester. Hojlund now has eight goals this season and Garnacho is on nine.

"It’s really important for him (Hojlund)," Amorim added. "He’s doing the right things, he’s helping the team, he’s fighting for every ball and today he scored a very good goal. Very important goal, especially at that moment in the game. He deserved that goal more than anybody.

"He (Garnacho) was really happy but the most important thing is the way he’s improving his game. He’s playing both sides, not just on the left.

"He’s sprinting back, the small things he’s doing quite well. And when you do the small things in that manner the good things are going to show and he also deserved his goal today."

Harry Amass made his United debut on his 18th birthday and on the 17th occasion he was named on the bench. The left back excelled on the pre-season tour of the United States but had to wait nearly eight months to make his competitive bow.

“You can see all the situations in the game and have these opportunities,” Amorim explained. “And you have your academy for these moments, you have moments where some players are injured. They have this opportunity.

“Harry Amass and all these young kids have to understand they are so lucky to be playing for Manchester United and that is so important for him, so it is the best gift he can expect.”
