Manchester United returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 3-0 win over Leicester City on Sunday evening.
The Red Devils had a relatively comfortable game at the King Power Stadium with the Foxes lacking the cutting edge in front of goal.
However, they could have been under immense pressure towards the end, had Facundo Buonanotte scored in the 75th minute.
At 2-0, Victor Lindelof was easily shrugged off by 38-year-old Jamie Vardy who put the ball on a plate for Bounanotte to score.
The Brighton & Hove Albion loanee was destined to do so but Matthijs de Ligt’s saved Lindelof’s blushes with a sensational slide tackle.
Lindelof has been a squad player for the Red Devils for some time and his inability to cope with Vardy was a lowlight in the game.
The Swede failed to win any of his ground duels yesterday (0/3). He did not make a single tackle and failed to compete any long balls.
Lindelof, who had 37 touches against the Foxes, received a low rating of 5/10 from Manchester Evening News after an average outing.
