Newcastle celebrated wildly after winning the Carabao Cup
Newcastle's history makers celebrated wildly after they beat Liverpool 2-1 in the Carabao Cup final to win their first major trophy since 1969.
Sean Longstaff could be seen downing booze from the trophy, Dan Burn celebrated with a Fortnite dance and manager Eddie Howe was drenched in champagne by his players before they continued their celebrations at Boxpark Wembley alongside fans, loved ones and club legend Alan Shearer.
"If you can smell a strange smell that's me," Howe quipped at his press conference as his Newcastle players continued to celebrate their triumph. Burn and Alexander Isak both found back of the net for the Toon, while Federico Chiesa scored a late goal for Liverpool.
Chiesa's strike made for a nervy final few minutes, but once referee John Brooks blew the final whistle Newcastle and their supporters roared in celebration. Among those in attendance at Wembley were Ant and Dec, with Dec calling the win the "best day of my life", while Shearer lost his hat in the stands while celebrating Isak's goal.

On the pitch, an emotional Bruno Guimaraes dedicated the win to the Newcastle faithful. "It's all for these fans," the Brazilian said. "They deserve everything. When I first came here I said I wanted to put my name in history. We can now say we are the champions again. This is one of the best days of my life.
"I don't have any words. It's the best day of my life. For them [the fans] it's like the World Cup. People have grown up and not seen us as champions. My first year as captain of this club and it's one of the best days. This is unbelievable."
After climbing the Wembley steps to lift the trophy and then celebrating with it in front of their fans, Newcastle retreated to the dressing room to continue their festivities. In clips shared on social media, the squad can be seen singing and dancing together as they revel in their victory.
In one clip, the players and staff pose for the cameras while chanting: " Geordie boys take the p***". Longstaff also attempted to use the trophy to down a beer, while Burn was sprayed with champagne and cheered on by his teammates as he danced.
The win capped off a dream week for the defender, who also earned his first England call-up on Friday. "I've had worse weeks," Burn told Sky Sports. I don't want to go to sleep because I feel like I'm dreaming and it's all going to be a lie.
"I don't get many so I saved it for a big occasion. I feel strange, I feel numb at the minute." He then added with a massive grin: "I'll be first there tomorrow [at England training] at 8 o'clock."

The players then continued celebrating with their loved ones, with Guimaraes sharing a sweet snap with his wife Ana Lidia Martins at Boxpark Wembley. Goalkeeper Mark Gillespie linked up with friends at the venue, while Shearer also joined in the festivities.
Shearer's daughter Chloe shared several videos showing the players being serenaded by supporters at Boxpark, while her father posed for photos with Burn, Joelinton and Gillespie and sang along to 90s hit Freed from Desire.
Jacob Murphy shared a moment with his twin brother Josh, who currently plays for Championship side Portsmouth, while Sandro Tonali shared a series of snaps with his fiance Juliette Pastore as they visited the luxurious Novikov Restaurant and Bar in Mayfair. They were joined at the venue by Isak, Joe Willock and youngster Will Osula, who posted a clip of him dancing with Isak in their Newcastle tracksuits.
