Somebody phone the Louvre - we've got a tonne of new pictures for them. Generations of Newcastle United fans have waited a lifetime for those scenes at Wembley Stadium yesterday as their heroes celebrated winning the Carabao Cup.
They did it in style too, comprehensively outplaying Liverpool on the famous turf to record a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Dan Burn and Alexander Isak. Eddie Howe's masterplan worked perfectly as the big Liverpool threats were nullified, and United took their chance for glory.
It prompted unbridled celebrations both on the pitch, on the Wembley terraces and back on Tyneside, where thousands flocked to St James' Park just be part of the bigger picture. The pictures of Newcastle United players, staff and the club hierarchy will live long in the memory as the emotion swept all under the Wembley arch.
