Everton are already making plans for the summer transfer window.
The Friedkin Group are ready to heavily invest this summer as the club are set to finally be rid of PSR issues.
Everton’s new stadium will be transformative for finances, so there’s a genuine belief that they can return to their past glories and start to challenge the top six again.
That will happen in time with smart recruitment, which the Friedkin’s are placing massive emphasis on as they eye new staff.
Soon-to-be Everton chief executive Angus Kinnear wants to appoint Leeds chiefs Nicky Hammond and Gary Penrice.
They will oversee transfers on Merseyside but for the moment, Kevin Thelwell is still in charge until the end of the season.
And, it’s thought he may have submitted an offer for a highly-rated teenager in the EFL, according to Rotherham manager Steve Evans.

Suggestion Everton bid for Rotherham teenager Harrison Duncan
Everton have been linked with Rotherham wonderkid Harrison Duncan this year and now the club’s manager Steve Evans appears to have hinted that they may have tabled an offer for the 16-year-old.

“I had a good chat with the head of our youth system (Richard Hairyes) who said there’s been huge interest in him,” Evans told the Rotherham Examiner.
“I would recommend that we keep him. I think he’s going to be a really good player. I know that the club had two offers for him a number of months ago.
“The chairman said: ‘No. If we want to keep our young talent, we’ll try our best to do that.’ It never got to a level where it was more sensible to take those funds and help the academy. Our academy chief endorsed that.”
Duncan compared to John Stones
Duncan has been likened to Manchester City centre-back John Stones due to his immense ability in possession.
The 16-year-old is assured at bringing the ball out from the back and playing progressive passes, such is why so many clubs are showing an interest.
Manchester City have even been linked with Duncan lately, so it certainly won’t be an easy deal to complete for Everton.
Interest is rife so the Toffees will have to put forward a convincing pitch to land him, if indeed Rotherham are open to a sale.
