CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The Bengals and wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins reportedly agreed to record-breaking contract extensions that will keep them in Cincinnati for the foreseeable future.
Chase gets four years and $161M with $112M guaranteed — making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, reports NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero.
Higgins’s contract is $115M for four years with the first two years guaranteed, making him the highest-paid second-leading wide receiver, according to Pelissero.
The deal will make quarterback Joe Burrow happy - both players are his favorite target and he’s made it clear he wanted them to stay.
Chase and Higgins appeared to confirm their deals in separate social media posts.
Higgins posted a handshake emoji on X after NFL Network Insider Jordan Schultz posted about it.
Chase also shared the post on his Instagram Story: “my brotha man @teehiggins.”

This comes after reports claimed deals were imminent.
NFL Network reported Friday there was “significant progress” on both contracts.
On Saturday, Sports Illustrated cited league sources saying “the deals are done.”
At just 25 years old, Chase is one of the NFL’s best wide receivers.
He put up historic numbers last season, winning the receiving Triple Crown, and unanimous first-team All-Pro selection.

Touchdowns - 46
Higgins, 26, was tied for sixth in the league last season with 10 touchdown catches.
He also had 73 receptions for 911 yards and averaged 12.5 yards per catch.
His best game was against Denver on Dec. 28.
Higgins had 11 receptions for 131 yards and three touchdowns including a 3-yard overtime score that kept the Bengals in the postseason for another week.
