Chelsea supporters are getting desperate for their side to address the striker position in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Blues have already conducted a fair amount of transfer business before the season has come to an end, with an eye towards the future yet again.
Chelsea agreed a deal for Geovany Quenda, with them believing he is going to prove to be a bargain despite the high fee they paid for him.
A number nine is definitely going to be looked at by the Blues this summer, with Nicolas Jackson their only senior option for the role when he is fit.
One name who has been constantly mentioned as one of their priority targets is Liam Delap, with there being a significant effort made to sign him in January.

Chelsea have Viktor Gyokeres as a top transfer target
Reports have claimed that Chelsea still want Delap this summer, with them looking to get a deal done quickly in order to beat other sides to a deal.
With a limit of top-level strikers out there for top clubs at the moment, it is perhaps not surprising that all of their targets are being pursued by a number of other elite sides, with this also being the case for Viktor Gyokeres.
The Swedish international has been a target of Chelsea for a while now, however it looks as if they are now beginning to prioritise him as a target.

Simon Phillips claimed on his Substack that Gyokeres is on par with Delap as far as being a transfer target at Stamford Bridge goes.

“The significant bit of extra info we have been given on these deals is that Chelsea have been building really good relations with Sporting through this and our top source has said that this could well lead to a deal being struck for Viktor Gyokeres as well.
“However, as I have said, the new striker profile will depend on Champions League qualification. But Gyokeres is up there at the top of our striker shortlist alongside Liam Delap and The Blues continue to watch him closely and have registered their interest.”
Both Quenda and Dario Essugo are both coming from Sporting Lisbon, and the Blues are keen to keep relations high with the Portuguese side.

It was recently claimed that Gyokeres would be cheaper this summer than he would have cost if the Blues had signed him before this season began.
Previous reports have stated that Gyokeres’ intentions would be to join a side playing in the Champions League, meaning the last nine Premier League games of the season are going to be crucial for their transfer plans.
