A look at the latest West Ham injury situation as they head into the international break.
West Ham head into the international break on the back of a frustrating draw, leading Everton only to give up a late equaliser. The Hammers have only lost one of their last four games, but Graham Potter will have wanted a quicker turnaround than what he has seen.
Still, Potter has time as he looks to get his men acclimatised to his new system by the time next season comes around. First comes the international break and then games with Wolves and Bournemouth. Here we round up the West Ham injury latest heading into the break.
Michail Antonio - Out with no clear return date
Antonio will continue his recovery from his car accident and it’s not clear if he will return this season. Potter has said: “It's too early to say [if he'll be back this season]. I don't want to put any type of deadline pressure on him. It's great he's making the progress that he is. We need to keep supporting him, it's day-by-day, week-by-week, and then we'll see.”
Vladimir Coufal - Back after the break
Coufal has a hamstring issue that kept him out of the Everton game. Though, his issue is minor and he should have a chance of returning after the break for the Wolves game.
Niclas Fullkrug - Back after the break
Fullkrug was always looking at an uphill battle to get back for the Everton game after weeks out. He will now get time to recover properly and potentially return for the Wolves game. Potter said last week: “Niclas has been training with the group but isn't ready to start certainly. We'll assess him over the next day or two, but we're probably looking more after the international break.”
Crysencio Summerville - Back after the break
Summerville is another who will be back after the break, with West Ham looking forward to a number of boosts when they return to action. Potter said last week: “From my perspective, it was always clear - it will be after the international break. Like with anything, I think it's fair for the individual to treat the diagnosis and treatment privately. That's always the case.”
