Ex-Newcastle ace Elliot Anderson couldn't hide his joy as he joined the Toon Army in jubilation when the Magpies clinched the Carabao Cup.
The Geordies edged out Liverpool with a 2-1 victory at Wembley, bagging their first significant domestic silverware in seven decades, and Anderson was right there amidst the elated Newcastle fans soaking up the monumental win.

Anderson has been a Newcastle devotee since childhood and started his journey with the club at just eight years old.
But the 22-year-old midfielder parted ways with Newcastle last summer, moving to Nottingham Forest as part of the Magpies' strategy to avoid breaching the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules.
Despite no longer donning the black and white stripes, Anderson was over the moon with Newcastle's Carabao Cup success and was spotted signalling towards gaffer Eddie Howe, right-hand man Jason Tindall, and goalie Nick Pope during the post-match festivities, reports the Mirror.

Howe, Tindall, and Pope all seemed to spot Anderson in the throng and responded in kind. Howe has openly expressed his reluctance to let Anderson go to Forest, but conceded that the move was necessary to sidestep a possible points penalty.
"The last thing we want to do, or I want to do as the manager of the club, is to sell academy products who have the potential to play for this team for many years," he remarked back in January, addressing the club's fiscal worries.
"Elliot was a case in point - it was the last sale we wanted to make. We knew his qualities and he had just broken into the team towards the back end of last season. He had performed really well in a variety of roles for us.

"But we were faced with literally no other option in that moment with 48 hours to go, we had to make a decision that we did not want to make.
"It will always be our last choice to do that. But, when you add up everything together and you go, 'Well, it's a points deduction and breaching PSR or making a sale, I think you have to make the sale'."
